Take It All Off!

My Favourite time of the day, is by far when I get home and take off my make up. In the new year I decided to commit to not falling asleep with my slap on!
So here is my night routine

Step One: Fabulous make up melt, this is a new gel to oil cleanser by Bliss. You apply the gel cleanser on to dry skin and as you massage it into your make up, it transforms into a light oil that removes all make up, impurities and excess oil. To remove the cleanser rinse off with water.  LINK

Step Two: Decleor Tonifying Lotion, this toner is suitable for all skin types but especially good for dry and sensitive skin. It contains Decleors signature ingredient of Neroli which helps to protect and repair dehydrated skin. This toner balances the skins natural Ph level and leaves it feeling refreshed after a long day. LINK

Step Three: Is my favorite step, when I get to rub my eyes for the first time in the day. I have quite sensitive eyes and they often react to eye make up removers, but the Lancome Bi Facial eye make up remover does not sting or make my eyes water. I also wear quite a lot of eye make up
and this product removes every little bit of my eye make up. LINK

Step Four: To hydrate my skin and promote regeneration is the Decleor Aroma Night balm, this is quite a rich balm so only a small amount is needed. This Balm contains the essential oil of Neroli, but it also contains Chamomile which prevents the appearance of dark spots and calms the skin. LINK

I wouldn't suggest using this particular balm if you are prone to break outs, if you are prone to break outs use the Decleor ylang ylang Night Balm instead. LINK

I hope you have as much fun as me taking all the that slap off every night!

5 Reasons why I love the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel

The Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel, is a product that I always have around. I have to admit I don't use it that often but it is one of my skin heroes, and it never disappoints. It is a fruit enzyme peel, but I use it as a mask, I guess you can call it a gentle exfoliating mask.

I love this product because
  1. It is not abrasive: It contains Papaya and Pineapple Enzymes which gentility exfoliate and purify the skin. It also smells amazing, almost good enough to eat! (but you can't )
  2. It is gentle on your skin: I go right underneath my eyes, which is a real problem area for me.  Because it is so gentle it is great for mature skin too, and it contains Vitamin E so it has anti ageing properties.
  3. I sleep with it on: Guidelines say to leave it for 10-15 minutes, but I know my skin, so I have gone to sleep with it on and washed it off in the morning. I also sometimes put it on while I'm doing my house work as it has Anti - Oxidant properties.
  4. Good for sensitive skin: A great product for sensitive skin, it doesn't leave your face red and it isn't too stimulating.
  5. Does not tingle, so its great if you don't like peels: It doesn't tingle when you have put it on so if you have tried other products or peels that tingle slightly and you thought to your self "No this isn't for me, my skin doesn't really need this!" This is a product is for you!

If you would like to try Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel, you can get from many online shops, but cheapest I found was on Feel Unique LINK. Elemis also do some good deals on QVC sometimes so it's worth having a look on there too LINK.

Happy New Year

Well, first of all Happy New Year and welcome 2015!

I know I have not blogged in while, BUT I am going try my best to blog more in 2015.

This is going to be quite a short blog to start off, after an eventful NYE and a little too much alcohol, I was left with a rather ugly and painful Pimple. I know we shouldn't pick or try to pop them, but when they hurt, they hurt girl!
However nothing was getting rid of this pimple and it was just getting bigger. So I went through my samples looking for a miracle, I found a sample of the Bliss mulit -'face'-eted mask LINK. I decided to try this mask as it contains 10% Glycolic Acid, and I was praying that it would gently pursued this stubborn pimple to come out already! After leaving it on for 10mins and washing off with water and damp cotton pads, I'm glad to say it didn't disappoint, and Mr Pimple is now fading away.
This mask does have other benefits too, Glycolic Acid is a great ingredient, it helps to reduce the appearance of pore size and smooth the appearance of fine lines. It also helps to lift dead skin cells off the surface of the skin, therefore it would be a great mask if you have dry flaky skin, which is common with this cold January weather. Glycolic Acid is also a Humactant, which means that it attracts water from your cells to hydrate your skin.
Other Ingredients include jojoba oil and detoxifying Carbon. It is a Clay based mask and it leaves your skin feeling very clean and soft.

This is definitely a product that I will be ordering for 2015, especially as I am now in my mid 20s.

Happy New Year Everyone
